Listen to the K-Fan 100.3 in Minneapolis. That is real sports talk radio where they have knowledgeable guests from around the sports world. on from 9am - 6pm daily. 97.1 is all about their hosts venting every day about the sports teams here in Detroit, the sports fans here in Detroit, and it gives the hosts a platform to voice their opinion. 97.1 always allows their hosts to cut off the callers when the host does not agree with the callers opinion. How one- sided. Whatever happened to the old days when sports talk radio was really about what is happening in the sports world, all sports. I noticed this station talks about the NFL draft for 4-5 months. I find it hard to believe the Leadership of this station cannot come up with more intelligent subjects I am from another state and my belief is you are only surviving because there is no competition for you.","2018-10-29T20:24:38.000Z",1,{"id":58,"user_name":53,"comment":59,"submit_date":60,"score":56},841084,"Someone at the top seems to think its OK to put local sports team haters on nearly 24\u002F7. The new kid on the block takes the cake....being funny is not easy I understand but do you really want the only people listening to your station to be like democrats that listen to Rush just to get fired up and pissed? 105.1 was funny. I'm still bummed 97.1 cheated them out of the Tigers. Wake up owners and pull your support for this crap. And Capitol One Mortgage go F yourself.","2017-10-27T00:26:43.000Z",{"id":62,"user_name":53,"comment":63,"submit_date":64,"score":48},666797,"I've been retired for over a year now and send a good amount of time listening to The Ticket. I really appreciate the thoughtful discussion on sports and various serious and fun subjects. I do have a couple suggestions though as it pertains to sports in general. First, if you want to remain a top sports station, real football should be highlighted when in season. I can't believe you've decided not to give our National Womens World Cup team quality air time with one of your knowlegable sports forcasters. At times I'm revolted by the ignorance of all your sports casters making fun and the such of the sport. As of today I'll watch my baseball, hockey, and basketball on T.V. Our U.S. women's soccer team have been playing some amazing ball, and 97.1 laughs and teases about a game played by the world. Few people are big enough physically to play our pro sports. I like the idea that with football, almost anyone can have a shot at becoming a pro. Therefore a much larger pool of talent, and that much more difficult to make it as a pro. 97.1 better get on the soccer (football as the world calls it) train or risk losing a large part of this market and the market to come.\r\n\r\nVery P.O.'d,\r\n\r\nMark","2015-07-01T18:17:33.000Z",{"id":66,"user_name":53,"comment":67,"submit_date":68,"score":48},651976,"Valenti is one of the most knowledgeable sports talk hosts I've heard in my 67 years. He does his homework on all the topics he discusses. He has facts to back up statements he makes. And the best part is he calls a spade a spade if he sees it that way. He's not a fence sitter which is why you either love him or hate him. He is the force behind this radio station. The rest are just OK. Matt Dairy was good but he moved to another station.","2015-03-02T21:27:51.000Z",{"id":70,"user_name":53,"comment":71,"submit_date":72,"score":48},634609,"Gator 5 Excellent\r\nValenti 5 Excellent\r\nThomas 1 whiny\r\nLeach -1 inane\r\n\r\nOverall, the \"opinions\" expressed are intelligent, the rest border on immature.","2014-11-01T08:12:32.000Z",true]
